LEARN HOW TO GET ACCESS TO 19 MONTHS OF LESSONS FROM ME FOR OVER HALF OFF THE ORIGINAL MEMBERSHIP PRICE. . .
Diets, lifting programs, techniques, drills, conceptual teachings, narrated rolling breakdowns. it's all there inside my Chewjitsu Vault. . .
 Dear Fellow Grappler,

Back in January 2020 I created a special inner circle called the Chewjitsu Vault.

It was a monthly membership that ran until July of 2021. And while the membership was still going strong I decided to discontinue it (for my own reasons).

Well here today I'm going to give you a chance to get access to all the information I released to those members over the course of 19 months.

But before I tell you about that. Let me tell you more about what I focused on inside the Chewjitsu Vault.

The membership was built around what I consider these the 3 pillars of training.

Let’s jump into what those 3 areas are.

#1 Technical Development
Technical training and development is typically the only area that most BJJ practitioners focus on.

I mean everyone goes into the gym and learns techniques and everyone is on the search for the new BEST techniques.

You have also probably been sold the idea that technique conquers ALL.

And while technique is king,

This idea overlooks the fact that many of the best Brazilian Jiu-jitsu practitioners and competitors are in fantastic shape.

But even related to techniques. Most BJJ moves are taught and understood without a clear reason as to exactly why you are doing it or the deeper conceptual ideas and strategies that make them most effective.

Oh and let’s not forget the technique overload caused by the overwhelming abundance of techniques shown through a combination of our gyms, instructional videos and social media.

Couple this with a lack of drilling to adequately develop muscle memory and you’re left with technical training that is severely underdeveloped and leads to the inability to actually use any of it during training or competitions.

This is where developing a focused goals, understanding the strategies and conceptual undercurrents that impact Brazilian Jiu-jitsu come in handy.

By having focused goals you're able to develop a technique or position adequately before moving on.

And understanding HOW and WHY the technique works the way it does ties it all in to the rest of your game should you choose to use it.

Now, let’s move onto the next area that is often completely overlooked in relation to Brazilian Jiu-jitsu.

#2 Physical Development
Going back to the idea that technique will overcome everything. Most BJJ practitioners do not focus much on their physical development.

And it’s strange when you think about it, because every other grappling sport has involved the development of technical abilities alongside physical abilities.

Heck, BJJ is 100% physical. Even doing a simple task such as brushing your teeth or picking up a cup of coffee requires muscular contractions and energy to be expended. So what do you think happens when you go for an armbar?

BJJ does not happen in absence of your physical abilities. In fact, your physical abilities will dictate your technique abilities.

If you brush aside the mythology of our martial art you’ll see that many of the founding fathers of Brazilian Jiu-jitsu were in great shape, were disciplined about their eating and honored their body as the physical vehicle that would allow technical progression to happen.

They didn't just focus on technique! They knew physical preparation was important!
(Physical training should go in step with technical training)
But if you’re like most people coming into Brazilian Jiu-jitsu you probably ignore all of this.
Like many, you may have gotten into Brazilian Jiu-jitsu because you don’t care for exercise and/or were out of shape.

BJJ became a fun way to exercise that didn’t “feel” like exercising.

And with just training alone you lost weight and improved your overall sense of well-being.

But there comes a time, maybe you’ve already reached it, where your performance will reach a stopping point until you improve these physical areas of training and development.

(Recovery is an important part of physical development)
Think of it this way.

Imagine having a really cool car, let's say a Ferrari or Lamborghini. . . maybe you prefer a Porsche?

Now, you have this car with all the cool styling of the exterior body. The seats are upholstered with finest leather and it just looks jaw-dropping amazing.

Now imagine that you've pumped this car with the worst possible fuel ever and the engine inside came from a old 1983 clunker you picked out of a wreck at the junk yard.

How well do you think this car is going to run?

This is exactly what happens when you have all of the coolest techniques and moves but lack proper physical training and eating.

And even worse, without proper attention to your physical fitness and preparation you can definitely expect your body to break down.

But when you develop your physical abilities in step with your technical abilities it creates a powerful combination where one supports the other.

Moving on to the last pillar. . .

#3 Mindset Development
Now. . .Imagine you have the most recently developed stealth fighter jet. A marvel of modern technology and the most advanced weaponry that has graced our planet. It's loaded up with fuel, all the bombs and missiles it can carry and it's sitting on the runway ready to go. . .

Now imagine that you don't have a pilot who can adequately fly the thing.

This is kind of what it's like when you have built up the technical and the physical but lack the proper mental preparation and development.

This is true for me as a young man. I was obsessed with learning BJJ and being in the best shape possible. But I routinely underperformed at competitions and struggled to grow effectively inside the gym.

As I grew older and developed my mindset and mental abilities in accordance with my physical and technical abilities, I've been able to compete and grow (on the mats and off the mats) in ways I never imagined.

People's mindset is often a HUGE roadblock for them even when their physical and technical training are solid.

It's like a 3 legged stool
So you see, each one of these areas is critical for supporting the other.

It's like a 3 legged stool.

If all 3 legs are firmly in place you'll have a strong foundation to rest upon.

But if you're missing even 1 leg, the whole thing eventually comes falling down.

Without technical development you cannot know BJJ. Without physical development your body will be a limiting factor. And without development of the mindset you will get in your own way and limit yourself.

When your technical, physical and/or mental development are not in line with each other you'll experience problems such as. . .

  • Training well but competing poorly.
  • Always being nervous about training.
  • Training hard but never able to get in better shape.
  • Being unable to execute and "pull the trigger" on your techniques when you see openings.
  • Getting overly upset when you lose during rolling.
  • Lacking the energy to push yourself during training.
  • Beating yourself up over the smallest failures during training or competitions.
  • Learning countless techniques but never able to execute them successfully during rolling.
  • Having the feeling that you’re kind of in your own way and that you're way better than your abilities show.
  • Gassing out constantly during training.
  • Not understanding how your BJJ game and techniques work together.
  • Not being able to remember techniques.
  • And this list goes on. . .

It's only after these 3 things are in line with each other that I believe you become capable of realizing your true potential.

Orignally $14.97 /A month For 19 month = $284

So you see. The Chewjitsu Vault was my way of working directly with people to make them more technical, more physically conditioned and to possess a stronger mindset both on and off the mats.

Now that you know what the Chewjitsu Vault was all about.
Here's Some of what taught inside the Chewjitsu Vault over the 19 months it ran. . .
  • Diets I successfully used to lose and gain weight. (You can see exactly what I was doing to cut weight before the No Gi Pans 2020 where I lost 14lbs and got leaner than I’ve ever been before).
  • Narrated rolling breakdowns. (I show you full rolls of myself and others so that you can get a better conceptual ideas as to HOW and WHY BJJ techniques work together as they do)
  • Delicious, energy-enhancing food recipes straight from my kitchen. (Don’t expect your body to run like a Ferrari if you feed it junk fuel)
  • BJJ Concepts that will help you better understand Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and give you some simple "rules" to follow.
  • BJJ drills you can do with your partner designed to improve muscle memory and BJJ movement. (These are the same drills I use for my own training and with my students)
  • Solo drills you can do from home to boost your BJJ skills and mobility on the mats. (If you can’t make it to the gym or need a workout, these are perfect)
  • Sample strength training and cardio workouts from my own personal exercise routines. (I'm always testing out new methods and I'll show you what's working for me)
  • An inside look at the books I’m reading and listening to.
  • The best recovery methods I’m currently using. (If you don’t make time for recovery, prepare to make time for breakdown)
  • Effective stretches to help stay injury free by offsetting the muscular imbalances BJJ causes. (Targeting specific areas will help keep the body healthy and free from constant injury and pain)
  • Live Q&As that were done over Zoom.
  • Powerful meditation practices and idea that have been game-changing. (Various forms of meditation have been huge for helping with sleep, recovery and even the nerves associated with BJJ competitions, MMA fights and life in general)
