What' up my fellow Mat Addict!
Every year me and a group of my friends get together in mid to later January and head to Central America for a "Train-Cation" in paradise.
And we are inviting you to join us!
My student Justin first put this whole thing together back in 2014 and it has since been something I look forward to every single year.
It combines all the things I love most. Fun training, lots of time to rest and relax away from the daily hustle and bustle and a chance to get to know people better.
Let me give you an idea of how I spent my train-cation last year to give you an idea of how it might work for you. . .
I rolled out of bed and began my morning meditation.
Then after that I walked over to the main apartment we had setup for one of my favorite parts of the vacation which was having a chat over coffee with old friends and the new faces who made the trip down to Costa Rica.
After breakfast and chatting we all headed over to the gym which is only about a 3 minute walk from the condos and begin our AM No Gi training.
After the No Gi training I stuck around for a bit of stretching and then met everyone up to wash up and head out for lunch.
Lunch sometimes was a smoothie in the condo and other times we'd head into town for something. It's really whatever you want to do.
Following lunch it's usually relax off time or time for activities. So maybe you need a nap, maybe beach or surf time, a dip in the pool, perhaps something else? Theres so many options. . .
Evening training in the gi begins as things start to cool down and the sun is setting and after that we all head in town for a nice dinner and drink together.
Then back to the condos where everyone would hang out and wind down together. I typically ended my evening with a chat followed by night time meditation and shower.
That's my basic template but each day person and each day is different.
Some days people went hiking up on a volcano and took a bath in sulfuric mud. Other days we all went on sail boat and went swimming in the ocean.
Some days we'd surf and other nights we'd skip training and go explore town.
The possibilities are seemingly limitless.
This train-cation has been a part of my yearly routine since 2015 and I'm excited to join everyone again for the trip.
If you're looking for an escape from the daily grind to recharge your mental and physical batteries, while having a great time meeting new people in a new surrounding. . .
Then I hope to see you for a chat over coffee in January. ;)
Below are the details about the trip. I hope you can make it!
